The Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Club was established in January 2003; based in the South West of England the main aim is to enjoy the array of vehicles, the company of like-minded people and generally have fun.
The club was originally formed to create an association for owners of mostly Rover, Austin, BMC & BL vehicles within the South West: In 2011 at the clubs AGM, it was unanimously decided, the club would be known as “The Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Club” This change allowed for a wider audience and allowed members a greater range of vehicles and collectables within the club.
It also meant the club would be more recognisable as the club that organised and hosted the “The Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Show” which by 2015 was already in its 10th year and established on the seasonal show calendar.
The club attends approximately twenty shows throughout the season, including our own two-day show known as “The Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Show” held in August each year at The Morganians Rugby Club, Chedzoy, Nr Bridgwater.
We have members who can offer technical advice to members who want to research or maintain their vehicles. The club publishes a quarterly magazine called “Plus Talk” and the editor always welcomes contributions from members either in the form of interesting articles or photos for inclusion within the newsletter.
The club meets out of season on the 2nd Sunday of each month at the Lighthouse Inn Burnham-on-Sea Somerset. They are generally from October through to March and meetings commence at 12:00 Noon for a 12.30 start.
